Jigme Lingpa

Rigdzin Jigme Lingpa (1730–1798) was a great master of the Nyingma tradition of Tibetan Buddhism. The root of the Khyentse lineage, he was a tertön, or discoverer of treasure teachings, and revealed the Longchen Nyingtik, one of the most important cycles of meditative practice in the Nyingma school.

Patrul Rinpoche

Patrul Rinpoche (1808–1887) was one of the greatest Tibetan teachers of the nineteenth century. Famous for his precise and direct style, he shunned high monastic office and lived the life of a homeless wanderer, writing his book in a rustic hermitage under an overhanging rock.

Khenpo Chemchok

Khenpo Chemchok was one of the great teachers of the early twentieth century whose students include Tulku Thondup.

Gyurme Avertin

Gyurme Avertin has served as the principal translator for Orgyen Tobgyal Rinpoche and several other eminent Tibetan teachers, accompanying them on their frequent visits to the West. Spending extended periods of time in India and Nepal, he has trained extensively in both the sutra and tantra teachings of Tibetan Buddhism, studying with some of the most accomplished masters of our times. His published works include The Gathering of Vidyadharas: Text and Commentaries on the Rigdzin Düpa (Snow Lion, 2017), Sublime Lady of Immortality: Teachings on Chimé Phakmé Nyingtik (Rangjung Yeshe, 2021), as well as numerous talks and prayers.

Khangsar Tenpa'i Wangchuk

KHANGSAR TENPA’I WANGCHUK (1938–2014) was a monk and tertön of the Nyingma school. A revered master of his own tradition, he was also learned in the rigorous Geluk scholastic curriculum. While imprisoned for twelve years during the Cultural Revolution, he continued his dedicated practice alongside other great masters. In his later years, he focused on teaching, writing, and restoring the monasteries of Khangsar Taklung and Panak in the region of Golok, Tibet.

Jamgon Kongtrul Lodro Taye

Jamgön Kongtrul Lodrö Taye (1813–1900) was a versatile and prolific scholar and one of the most outstanding writers and teachers of his time in Tibet. He was a pivotal figure in eastern Tibet’s nonsectarian movement and made major contributions to education, politics, and medicine.
